Be careful what you fish for
Made with love by Istanbul's Rumisu
"Be careful what you fish for." Somebody should have told that to our Ottoman Sultans... as we can only read their history as an unending struggle with ‘unintended consequences’ ... wait a second... can that be true for the whole world’s history?
Illustrated by hand; transferred and digitally printed on 100% silk, and washed satin; edges are hand-rolled.
Measurements:
140cm x 140cm (55" x 55")
Each scarf has a unique crocheted charm that carries forward the traditional Turkish art of oya. The crochet characters are hand-made in Southeastern Turkey in cooperation with a UNDP project that aim to foster sustainable economic development of the region’s women. Each scarf comes in its own linen pouch that is hand-embroidered with the Rumisu's bird logo.
