SADL Stool

Designed and handmade by Brussels' LMBRJK.

The SADL Stool is an experiment in form as well as in production technique. Laser-cut and hand-assembled, this unique stool is 40 centimeters / 15 inches of dubbed digital wood. The stool is first designed on the computer in 3D CAD software. The model is then sliced to produce different layers which are later combined to form the entire stool. This process, from initial conception to final production takes place inside the LMBRJK studio.

The SADL stool is a synthetic wood assembly. Its strength is found in its multi-layered structure, its beauty in the slender curves and its narrative is a contemporary solution to an age old question of elegance versus ergonomics.
