What does a 40-year-old-bachelorette see if she has a dream of her wedding? one of the more ‘subdued’ scenes would be something like this.... even the aliens would be dancing the ‘halay’ -the traditional turkish wedding dance - for three days and three nights....or maybe even all the way back to their galaxy...

Illustrated by hand; transferred and digitally printed on 100% silk, and washed satin; edges are hand-rolled.

Each scarf has a unique crocheted charm that carries forward the traditional Turkish art of oya. The crochet characters are hand-made in Southeastern Turkey in cooperation with a UNDP project that aim to foster sustainable economic development of the region’s women. Each scarf comes in its own linen pouch that is hand-embroidered with Rumisu's bird logo.
